SaaS Platform Development — From Concept to Scale
We build multi-tenant SaaS platforms designed for growth. From MVP to thousands of paying users, we handle the architecture, infrastructure, and operational complexity.
What we build
Multi-Tenant Architecture
Designing data isolation, tenant management, and shared infrastructure for SaaS platforms. We build architectures that scale from 10 to 10,000 tenants without rework.
Product Scaling & Performance
Performance optimization, horizontal scaling, and infrastructure automation for growing SaaS products. We identify bottlenecks before your users do.
Subscription & Billing Integration
Stripe, payment processing, subscription management, and usage-based billing. We integrate billing deeply into the product — not as an afterthought.
Production Readiness & Operations
Monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response procedures. Everything your platform needs to run reliably in production, day after day.
Frequently asked questions
How do you handle multi-tenancy — single database or one per customer?+
Default is row-level isolation in a single Postgres database (cheapest to operate, easy to query across tenants for analytics). For regulated workloads (healthcare, government) we move to schema-per-tenant or database-per-tenant — same application code, different data layer. The choice is made in Discovery and is reversible only at significant cost, so we do it deliberately.
Stripe or Paddle for billing?+
Stripe for most B2B SaaS — the API is the most flexible, the docs are the best, and almost every integration assumes Stripe. Paddle for products that sell heavily into VAT-burdened EU consumer markets, where Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and handles tax automatically. We integrate either; the decision is about your buyer geography and tax appetite.
Should we have a free tier?+
Only if free users have a clear path to paid (PLG motion) and your unit economics support it. If each active free user costs you €0.50/month in infra and 1% convert at €30/month, the math works. If costs are €5/month and conversion is 0.1%, you're burning money. We build a usage estimator in Discovery so this is a numbers decision, not a vibes decision.
When should we add SSO, audit logs and SOC 2 prep?+
When enterprise buyers ask for them — which is usually around €500K ARR or your first deal worth €50K+ ACV. SSO (Microsoft / Google / SAML) is a 1-2 sprint add. Audit logs we build from day one for free. SOC 2 prep is a deliberate 6-12 month effort costing €15K–€40K — start it when you have a real prospect pipeline that requires it, not 'just in case'.
Can you take over a no-code MVP and rebuild it as custom?+
Yes — and we've done it many times. Migration is two weeks of data export + schema design, then incremental rebuild of features starting with the highest-friction ones. Your customers don't see a 'platform migration'; they see new features ship faster and old bugs disappear. The Bubble / Webflow / Airtable instance keeps running until the new version reaches feature parity.
What's the typical team after launch?+
1 senior engineer (often part-time), a designer (part-time), and a fractional ops/SRE for monitoring + incident response. Many of our SaaS clients keep us on a 20-40 hours/month retainer for the first year while they hire in-house. We hand over fully when your team is ready — we don't try to be irreplaceable.
